This option allows users the ability to Subscribe to an issue. Users that are subscribed to an issue will receive an e-mail notification whenever that issue is updated and can also filter the Issue List to see a list of issues you (or someone else) are subscribed to. This feature is useful for keeping track of issues that are of special importance to a user.

 

Users subscribe to an issue from the Issue Details page and can see a list of users subscribed to that issue. You can also choose to opt out of receiving subscription e-mails for that issue on the issue details page.

 

If the Issue Subscription option is enabled, you must supply an E-Mail Template for the email notification system to use for subscription e-mails.

 

There is also a setting to allow users to subscribe or unsubscribe other users.

 

Access to subscriptions (visibility and ability to subscribe) is controlled at the group level under Item Security.
