Rule name

1. Rule name
Each rule must have a unique name. There is a Copy… link on existing rules to facilitate recreating similar rules.

Projects

Each rule must be applied to at least one project but can apply to multiple projects. All projects can be selected, even read-only and disabled projects will appear in the list.

Conditions

3. Conditions
The Which Issues This Rule Will Archive section is where the conditions for the rule are defined. The is the selection criteria or "filter" used to select the issues for archiving.
 
There is an option to Match ALL conditions or to Match ANY condition. If an issue matches the conditions defined for the rule then the issue is including in the archive.
 
Each rule must have at least one condition. Click here to see details for creating Archive Rule Conditions.
 
If the necessary condition can't be created using the Conditions user interface, it may be necessary to create "advanced criteria". The Advanced checkbox beside the When Will This Rule Apply removes the Conditions dialogue and allows the user to enter a free form SQL expression for the criteria.

Archive Location

4. Archive Location
This is the file location for RMTrack to write the Archive files to. This location must be on the application server that runs RMTrack.
 
NOTE: Clients hosting their own RMTrack will need to work with their internal IT people to gain access to the archive files and have them moved to an appropriate location.
 
NOTE: Clients of the RMTrack Hosted Service will need to contact support@rmtrack.com for assistance accessing their archive files.
