The Form Design tab is where the sections and fields for the form are define.
NOTE: This page operates in the same manner as the normal Data Entry From Designer in terms of adding Sections and Fields. Please read that section if you are not already familiar with designing RMTrack forms.
There are a few differences between the internal data entry form designer and the Public Form Designer:
Project Field
On the regular data entry forms the Project field is always required. With public forms, the Project field is only required if more than one project was selected on the general settings tab.
Validations (required fields)
The public forms designer has a validations button which will open the field validations dialog. The validations dialog allows for designating which fields are required fields on the public form. Only fields present on the form can be marked as required:
Add Attachments Button
The Add Fields and Add Text buttons have been combined into a “split button”. Clicking on the down arrow portion of the button displays a popup menu that allows the user to choose whether they want to add Fields, Text, or an attachment upload button:
The Add Upload Button inserts a button into the form which allows users to drag and drop or browse to files to be attached to the new issue. Clicking on Add Upload Button will invoke a dialogue that allows a caption for the button and also conditional logic for when to show or hide the button.
