To upgrade to a new version of RMTrack it is not necessary to remove the existing version.
To upgrade to a new version of RMTrack, download the install executable from www.rmtrack.com/downloads and run the program on your application (web) server.
After display the Welcome screen, the installer will attempt to locate an existing installation of RMTrack on the server. If an older version is found the installer will display the Upgrade Information screen:
The website and database for the currently installed version of RMTrack are shown.
If the website information is incorrect it can be modified by clicking the Change Website button.
If the database information is incorrect it can be modified by clicking the Change Database button.
Clicking either of these buttons will display the appropriate installer screen. For more information on those screens please look at the New Installation section of the guide.
After either accepting the the upgrade information or changing the information, the installer will proceed with the upgrade using the same screens as are found in the New Installation section.
After the installer upgrades your version of RMTrack it will check to see if there are multiple instances of RMTrack on the same server. If it finds other instances, the RMTrack Instance Manager will automatically start to allow you to upgrade the other instances.
